Ministers Valeriu Troenco and Valentina Tapis, who represent the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) that forms part of the government collation, left the November 14 meeting of the Cabinet after Prime Minister Iurie Leanca put to the vote the dismissal of Stefan Chitoroaga from the post of director of “Moldsilva” Agency. The issue was approved by 11 votes in favor, IPN reports.

Stefan Chitoroaga was seen earlier using the service car in the election campaign. Valeriu Troenco stood up for his colleague from the PLR, asking consulting the party until a decision on his dismissal is taken. “We cannot discuss this subject in the absence of Chitoroaga and without consulting the party beforehand. We are still part of the government coalition,” he stated.

Prime Minister Iurie Leanca insisted that the dismissal of the “Moldsilva” director should be put to the vote, saying he not only once asked the representatives of the Government not to use the pool of cars or other administrative resources for electoral purposes.
