Two men were admitted to the Emergency Hospital with the frostbitten toes. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Anatol Proca has told Info-Prim Neo that one of the men aged 58 fell asleep with the doors open in a wagon at his villa. When he woke up, he had his toes frostbitten. Another man, of 40, suffered third- and forth-degree frostbite. He told the doctors that he had worked in Romanesti for two weeks and could seek help only when he returned to Chisinau. Two ambulance teams struggled for the life of a one-month baby. The mother called the doctors when she saw that the child started to suffocate. She told them that she fed the baby and left him to sleep on the back. He probably regurgitated and choked. The child is now under the supervision of doctors of the Mother and Child Center. The Chisinau Ambulance Service on December 14 had dealt with 724 emergencies, including 46 cases of acute viral infection, 67 cases of trauma, 10 strokes, and two heart attacks.
