Two men killed in road accident involving car of Comrat mayor

The car of the mayor of Comrat Nicolai Dudoglo was involved in a traffic accident that claimed two lives yesterday evening, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo. A Volkswagen Passat driven by a 38-year-old man skidded on the Chisinau-Giurgiulesti road, made a U-turn and collided head-on with Nicolai Dudoglo’s car. A man aged 23 traveling in the Volkswagen was killed. The 38-year-old wife of the driver of the Comrat mayor has died in the hospital as a result of her injuries this morning Nicolai Dudoglo, who was also in the car, suffered contusions and fractures. He was admitted to the Comrat district hospital and then transferred to a clinic in Chisinau. Five persons were killed in road accidents in Moldova on Sunday, September 19. Another twelve persons were injured. A Land Rover driven by a man aged 37 struck fatally a pedestrian of the same age on the Rezina-Orhei-Calarasi road. A 19-year-old man and his father aged 44 died when their VAZ car crashed violently into a truck parked by the roadside, on the Chisinau-Vadul lui Voda road.
