Two men injured in separate knife attacks

A 20-year-old man was hospitalized last night with a stab wound to the left chest. Eufalia Negreata of the Chisinau Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo that the man, while drunk, was assaulted on Liviu Rebreanu Street by unknown persons. Another man, aged 67, also in a state of drunkenness, was attacked by unidentified assaulters on Colina Pushkin Street on Tuesday night, at around 22:00. The man was hospitalized with knife wounds to the left arm and face, as well as thoracic contusion. A 20-year-old woman was struck on Tuesday morning by a Mercedes share taxi on route 155, suffering femur fracture. Another young woman, 23, was injured in a hit-and-run accident at around 21:00 while crossing Zelinski Street in a state of drunkenness. The victim suffered multiple traumas, brain concussion, facial injuries and contusion of both knees. On April 22, the Chisinau Emergency Service recorded 679 calls, responding to 69 cases of trauma, 50 cases of acute viral diseases, 21 cases of mumps, 10 acute coronary syndromes and 10 brain strokes.
