Two men were admitted this morning to the hospital with general hypothermia, after being found on Chisinau streets almost frozen to death. Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Emergency Service, told Info-Prim Neo that one of the victims is apparently a homeless man in his early fifties. The second men, aged about 40, didn’t reach his home after consuming alcohol and spending the night in the street. Yesterday, a man, 50-55, was found on a trolleybus on route no.9 with acute alcoholic intoxication. The man couldn’t tell his name and address, so he was taken by the ambulance to the Holy Trinity Hospital for detox. On Christmas Eve, celebrated on January 6 according to the Eastern Orthodox calendar, the doctors on ambulances responded to 710 calls, including 74 cases of trauma, 101 acute viral diseases, 4 brain stokes, and 3 heart attacks.
