Two men, aged 17 and 36, face robbery charges. On December 14, in the evening, they broke into a man’s house in Nisporeni. They took him out with an electroshock weapon and hit his head with a metal object, then stole the money from his house.

The General Police Inspectorate announced the suspects were arrested the next day, when they were preparing to leave the country. During the search, the police found the tools used during the robbery, part of stolen money and some drugs. The robbers told the officers that they spent some of the money on having fun.

The two suspects have been arrested for 30 days and will be prosecuted criminally. They face sentences of 8 to 10 years in jail.

According to IGP, one of them had been previously sentenced in Russia for robbery and murder. Between 2005 and 2013, he was jailed in the Belyi Lebed penitentiary in Salikamsk, a jail for criminal authorities and thieves-in-law.
