Two men die from knife wounds

Over the past 24 hours two men died and another one was hospitalised because of knife wounds. According to Chisinau Emergency Service doctor-coordinator Ludmila Untura, a 27-year-old young man, a resident of Durlesti town committed suicide by cutting his carotid artery. He was found dead. Early Friday morning, at 4.00 hrs, at the House of Culture in Cricova town a man, 52, was found with an abdominal stab wound and with injured internal artery. The man died in the ambulance on its way to the hospital. A stabbed 47-year-old man was found nearby the entrance to Dumbrava village. The ambulance doctors found that the victim had a stab wound in the lumbar region and an injured internal artery. The man was hospitalised at the Emergency Hospital. The previous day, the Chisinau Emergency Service recorded 770 calls, including 2 suicide attempts by drug overdose of a 27-years-old young woman and of a woman aged 43, 27 cases of acute diarrhoea, 43 viroses cases, 70 trauma cases, 2 heart attacks and 11 strokes. An unidentified woman was found in the street in alcoholic coma.
