Two young people were caught red-handed after they entered the house of a couple of elderly people in Ursoaia village of Căușeni district in order to assault them physically and rob them. They were acting on the instructions of a criminal group directed from the penitentiary, but they were caught at the very moment when they entered the victims’ house in the middle of the night, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Causes, as they were instructed by detainees, the suspects, aged 18 and 23, were to rob the elderly of 100,000 lei. They prepared balaclavas, duct tape and a knife to commit the robbery.
Close to midnight on September 5, when the suspects forced their way into the family’s yard, the police detained them, preventing them from physically assaulting the elderly people.
The two young people were placed in preventive detention.
