Two men and a woman injured after fighting over parking spot

Two men and a woman hurt each other badly in a fist fight over a parking spot on Chisinau's Igor Vieru Street Friday evening. The fight began when one of the men parked his car in a spot considered by a married couple to be theirs. After an exchange of strong words, the three started trading punches and throwing everything they could at each other. The neighbors called the police and an ambulance. All three were hospitalized, injuries ranging from head traumas to fractures of the facial bones, a spokesperson for the Emergency Service said. A 46-year-old man residing on Voluntarilor Street entered a police station, his abdomen bleeding, to report that he had been stabbed by his wife. The policemen called an ambulance. Over the past day and night the Chisinau Emergency Service responded to 700 calls, including 6 brain strokes, 9 acute coronary syndromes, 57 cases of viral diseases, 4 of which possibly meningitis.
