Two members of the Council for Coordination on Audiovisual (CCA) were arrested by the officers of the Centre for Combating Economic Crime and Corruption (CCECC) this night and other two members were invited on Thursday morning, June 14, to come at the headquarters of the CCECC for unknown reasons, Info Prim reports, quoting several sources.
According to unconfirmed information, last night, at 1.00 am, Ruslan Plesca and Valeriu Soltan were arrested at home and Vlad Turcanu and Ludmila Vasilache were invited in the morning at the CCECC. At this moment, it is not known why those two had been called at the headquarters of the CCECC. At the same time, trustful sources, which asked to remain anonymous, said that Valeriu Soltan was seen in the morning together with CCA President Corneliu Mihalache, being in a “deplorable mood”.
Spokesman of the CCECC Alexandru Gasca told Info-Prim Neo that two members of the CCA, Ruslan Plesca and Valeriu Soltan, are suspected of soliciting a bribe worth MDL 60 thousand. Gasca did not offer other information, saying that a press release will be soon publicised on this case.
At the same time, CCA President Corneliu Mihalache told Info-Prim Neo that he does not know any other details about this situation, excepting the fact that only one CCA member is arrested – Ruslan Plesca. At the same time, Mihalache said that Valeriu Soltan is at work.
A press conference will be held at 14.30 within which information on this case will be given.
Ruslan Plesca was proposed in the composition of the CCA by the People’s Christian Democrat Party, and Valeriu Soltan – by the MPs of the Party of Communists.
