Two medals for Moldovan boxers

Moldovan boxers won a bronze medal and a silver one at the Istvan Bocskay Memorial international tournament, which ended on Sunday, February 12, in Debrecen, Hungary, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The leader of the national team, Vasile Belous, reached the final in the 69 kg weight category, where he was defeated by home side’s representative Balasz Bacskai. In the 64 kg category, Dumitru Galagot lost in the semi-finals to Russia’s Vitali Dunaitev.
Three other Moldovans, Vadim Ivaniuc, Petru Apostol and Victor Cotiujanschi, were eliminated in the qualifying round.
The competition was an important preparatory stage for the Olympics qualifying tournament, which will take place in April. So far, only Vasile Belous has booked himself a place at the 2012 Olympics this summer.
