A man and a woman perished, while a child and an elderly woman were hospitalized in a serious state after their apartment located in Straseni town caught fire, IPN reports.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the fire started in the afternoon of January 29 in a third-floor apartment situated in a building on Veronica Micle St in Straseni. As a result of the fire, a man aged 50 and a 59-year-old woman died, while a child aged three and a 69-year-old woman were taken to the hospital in a serious condition.
The fire was extinguished in over an hour. It affected 12 square meters of the apartment. It’s not yet known what caused the fire. An investigation is under way.
