Two women died and three men were taken to the hospital as a result of a road accident that occurred in the morning of February 8. Two vehicles collided on the M5 road in Râșcani district, not far from the intersection leading to Bălți.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Râșcani Police Inspectorate Ina Moscaliuc said the driver of a car at a dangerous turn changed lanes and collided head-on with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
As a result of the impact, a 53-year-old female passenger from the car that changed lanes died on the spot, while another woman aged 66 died on the way to the hospital. The diver was rushed to the district hospital. The driver of the second car was also taken to the hospital together with a passenger who was admitted to the intensive care unit.
