A sister and her brother aged three and four years died when the TV set in the room in which they were exploded. It happened in Sănătăuca village of Florești dustcrit on February 18.
Press officer of the Florești Police Inspectorate Lilia Harea has told IPN that the police were alerted by a neighbor who said that the family’s house was burning. An operational group, firefighters and an ambulance team were on the scene immediately. It was preliminarily established that the fire started after a TV set exploded.
When the blast occurred, the children aged three and four were watching TV and their father was in the yard together with the elder boy aged seven. When he heard the blast, the man hurried into the house and took the two children out.
The kids were rushed to the Camenca hospital, but died shortly afterward.
