Two injured in head-on collision

Two persons have been injured in a traffic accident involving a minibus and a taxi in Chisinau. Chisinau Emergency Service Doctor-Coordinator Silvia Babara told Info-Prim Neo that the impact between the Mercedes minibus, on route no. 119, and taxi 1404 occurred at 9.00, on Albisoara street, 16. As a result, the cab driver, 20, suffered head trauma, and a minibus passenger, 27, received wounds to his face. A 51-year old woman was admitted to hospital with broken bones, after the driver of a trolleybus she was riding in braked suddenly. Another man, 56, under the influence of alcohol, fell from the trolleybus no.1 and suffered leg injuries. Also intoxicated, a man aged 65 suffered leg wounds after he had been struck by an Audi automobile at the intersection of Moscova Blvd and Alecu Russo Street. Four persons, including a minor, got poisoned with mushrooms at a party in a home located on Bogdan Voievod Street. A man, 26, and two women, aged 29 and 34, were taken to “Sfanta Treime” hospital with severe intoxication. The girl, 13, was hospitalized at the Mother and Child Centre. On Tuesday, the Chisinau Emergency Service registered 740 calls, including 57 cases of trauma and 8 brain ictuses.
