Two injured in chain car accident in Chisinau

Two persons were hurt and two cars seriously damaged in an accident that happened at the intersection of Moscovei Blvd. and Miron Costin St. on the night of April 21. Paulina Iakimovski, senior PR specialist at the Traffic Police Division, told Info-Prim Neo that the accident was caused by a 22-year-old driver of a Mercedes. The Mercedes collided with a Dacia-Logan, of the 1474 taxi service. Then it crashed into an Audi-100 and then into another Dacia-Logan, of the 1499 taxi service. Ab 18-year-old female passenger of one of the taxis and the driver of the Audi were rushed to the hospital with a concision. An investigation is under way. A girl aged 16 was struck by a trolleybus running on route No. 22 on Alba Iulia St in Chisinau. She was admitted into the reanimatology section of “Valentin Ignatenko” Hospital with a trauma of the backbone and a cranial-cerebral trauma. An inebriated motorcyclist, 24, was speeding. The motorcycle skidded and mounted the curb. The driver suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital in Dubasari.
