A man aged 53, a woman aged 26 and a 12-year-boy child had drowned in Mandresti village of Telenesti district, Voloave of Soroca and Bratuseni of Edinet last weekend. In two of the cases, rescuers were called to help find the bodies, IPN reports.
The minor from Brastuseni went to swim in a lake together with his brother and a friend of his. At a certain moment, the boy went under the water and disappeared. The other two children swam out and called for help, but it was too late. The child was taken out dead.
The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service warns the parents not to allow the children to swim unsupervised. Swimming is allowed only in special places. Those who cannot swim must not leave the banks.
