Two men from different localities have been found dead in burning houses. The press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, Tatiana Corceac, has told Info-Prim Neo one of the tragedies happened in a house in Slobozia-Sireuti village, Briceni district. After the fire was contained, the firefighters discovered the carbonized corpse of the owner, aged 46. The preliminary version of the cause of the fire is a burning cigarette and the owner falling asleep. The carbonized corpse of a 73-year-old man was found in a burning house in Pascauti village, Rascani. The causes are investigated. The rescuers intervened to release several people from a car after a severe crash. The tragedy occurred between the villages of Vorniceni and Lozova on the Straseni-Nisporeni motorway. A Lexus, driven by 22-year-old went off the road and hit a tree. The driver and two passengers aged 25 and 34 died, as other three passengers passengers a man aged 21, a 22-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl were severely injured. The rescuers were called to deal with 6 cases on Sunday. 1,562 fires have been registered in Moldova since the beginning of the year claiming 130 lives, including 9 children.
