After a drone was found not far from Fârlădeni village in Căușeni district, the police informed about a similar case in Râșcani district. Another drone was detected near Borosenii Noi village. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that there is clear information showing that the drones were launched by the Russian Federation. According to the institution, the violation of Moldova's airspace is a serious violation and an unfriendly gesture of the Russian Federation, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the first drone was detected at around 10:00 a.m. by a resident of Fârlădeni. It was collected and examined by experts of the Inspectorate’s Technical-Forensic and Judicial Expertise Center. After the first examinations, it was determined that it was support aircraft for Russian-origin "Shahed" drones, without explosives. Preliminarily, the projectile was part of the wave of drone attacks to which Ukraine was subjected on the night to Sunday.

The other drone was found the same day in a field near Borosenii Noi village in Râșcani. The area was isolated and specialists of the technical-explosive unit are to examine it.

The police said there are no risks or dangers to the safety of citizens in the region. At the same time, the police call on the citizens who identify aircraft or other suspicious devices fallen to the ground not to approach them and not to touch them, but to immediately notify the police on the emergency number 112.

In the context of the two fallen drones, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that "the Republic of Moldova is a peaceful country, and the Government's priority is to ensure the tranquility and security of our citizens. These drones endanger the lives of citizens. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs demands that Russia respect the status of neutrality and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova," reads a press release of the Ministry.
