Two employees of the guard service of Cosmos Hotel are suspected of procuring. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the men aged 24 and 23, were recruiting under-age girls from socially vulnerable families, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Two of the girls aged 16 told the police that they had been held in an apartment in Chisinau’s Ciocana district for over two months and forced into providing sexual service in Hotel Cosmos and other places. The clients were exclusively foreigners, who paid 50 to 100 euros for the services. But the girls were paid only the fifth part of the money. The minors also said that they were beaten and threatened with death if they did not obey.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, sources in the hotels’ administration said they knew nothing about this case and that the suspected persons were employees of another institution that provides security services for the hotel.
An investigation is under way. If found guilty, the two men would be imprisoned for 20 to 25 years.
