Two children aged three who remained without parents on February 10 went to Italy, where they will be prosthesized free at the Prostheses Center in Budrio. The travel expenses are covered by the public association “Child, Community, Family” and the Chisinau Child Rights Protection Division.

Head of the reintegration service of the Child Rights Protection Division Angela Ganea has told IPN that the two children suffer from hand and leg congenital malformations and the prostheses will help them to easier integrate into society. The children will annually go to Italy to have their prostheses replaced. They will be accompanied by professional parent assistants in whose care they are. Earlier, they leaved at a reception center.

The free prosthesizing of the Moldovan children was possible owing to an EU program. Within the same program, a Moldovan girl earlier received hand and leg prostheses.
