Two children fell under the ice while playing on the frozen surface of a lake of the capital, being saved from drowning by two men. According to Exceptional Situations Department (DSE), on Sunday, two boys, aged 12, playing on the frozen surface of the lake on the street Albisoara of Chisinau, fell under the ice. Two inhabitants of this area heard children’s cries. Dumitru Screaghin, aged 22, and Sergiu Granatari, aged 45, helped and got out the children. Very soon the doctors of an ambulance transported the children to the Hospital „Valentin Ignatenco”, and Dumitru Screaghin – to the Emergency Hospital with general hypothermia. DSE specialists warn the fishers, all those crossing the rivers and the lakes on the ice to be very attentive, as they cede to increased temperatures.
