Two children allegedly abused in summer camp

The police initiated an investigation regarding the incident that happened in the Andries summer camp in Orhei, where 2 children, aged 7 and 8, told their parents they had been abused by a 10-year-old boy. Olga Baciu, press officer of the Minister of the Interior, told Info-Prim Neo it wasn’t established for sure whether the children were sexually abused indeed. She says the investigation is going on and the doctors that consulted the children are expected to announce their conclusions soon. According to the kids, they imitated a sexual act in a game called Batman, the spokesperson explained. Tamara Plamadeala, ombudswoman for children’s rights, announced she was heading for Orhei to examine the case.
