The heads of the auto section and the economy section of the Emergency Medicine Institute of Chisinau, who were arrested over a month ago, will stand trial, IPN reports, quoting the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
The two are accused of asking for large sums of money from a company that provided car maintenance services to the Emergency Medicine Institute for influencing decision makers of the institution to hasten the transfer of money to the business entity.
At the request of the prosecutor in charge of this case, the two were suspended from posts. They both face up to seven years in jail.
The men are investigated outside remand, but were banned from leaving the country.
