Ion Ceban, the Socialist Party candidate, and Andrei Donică, the candidate of "Speranța-Надежда" Professionals’ Movement, were registered by the Electoral Council of Chisinau Municipal Electoral Constituency (CECEC) as candidates for the position of general mayor of Chisinau municipality. The decision was taken at CECEC meeting on Saturday, September 7, IPN reports.
The list of candidates for Chisinau Municipal Council from the PSRM and "Speranța-Надежда" Professionals’ Movement has been registered at the same meeting, by another CECEC decision. PSRM enters the election campaign with a list of 54 candidates for the councillor position, while "Speranța-Надежда" Professionals’ Movement - with 26 people.
At the same time, CECEC registered two initiative groups, issuing them subscription lists for collecting signatures with a view to filing the candidacy of the former interim general mayor Ruslan Codreanu for the position of general mayor of Chisinau municipality and the candidacy of the civic activist Mihail Bagas for the position of councillor.
