Two cabs involved in traffic accidents on weekend

Two taxi cabs were involved in two road accidents occurred in the capital this weekend. According to Chisinau Traffic Police Inspector Ion Roscovanu, both accidents occurred on Saturday. The first accident happened on Petricani Street, with a VAZ-2113 car involved, driven by a man aged 39, and a Dacia-Logan car (taxi 1449). As a result of the collision, a 29-year old man, passenger of VAZ, suffered injuries. At the intersection of Gagarin Blvd and Albisoara Street, a Daewoo-Nexia car, taxi 1499, hit a 25-year old man, student of the Commercial University. The young man suffered wounds to his face. Seventeen accidents, with no casualties, occurred on Saturday and Sunday. Police inspectors traced 35 drivers under the influence, 126 exceeded the speed limit and 81 ignored the stop-light.
