TVR 1 channel to be retransmitted in Moldova

The Broadcasting Coordination Council Wednesday unanimously voted in favor of retransmitting the Romanian channel TVR 1 in Moldova through the state-run network No.2 with national coverage, which is now used by the society Telefe M International, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting www.timpul.md Attending the meeting, the representative of Telefe M International Veronica Cojocaru, director general of 2 Plus channel, said the company accepted to include programs of TVR 1 in the broadcast schedule of 2 Plus following requests from the Romanian authorities. She said the retransmission of TVR 1 will become possible soon, after all the technical details are arranged. According to the same source, all the costs of about US$1 million a year will be supported not by the Government of Romania, but by Telefe M International. The schedule of TV 2 Plus will be modified. The main newscast will be broadcast at 20.30 so that the news reports of TVR and its thematic programs could be also aired.
