Seven TV channels were penalized for deviations from the intensity of sound, being fined a total of 49,000 lei. According to the Audiovisual Council, these channels are N4, R Live TV, Ren Moldova, Studio-L, Exclusiv TV, TV6, and TVC 21, IPN reports.

Under the legal provisions, the suppliers of media services are obliged to standardize the sound intensity level in audiovisual programs and in commercials.

Also, Orizont TV was fined 5,000 lei for unilaterally treating subjects and for not ensuring a balance of opinions in the informative feature program “Pulse” of April 19. According to the monitoring report, the invitees focused on the criticizing of the government’s initiatives. During the discussions, the moderator presented the position of Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, with a length of 36 seconds, while the position of PAS MP Lilian Carp was posted on the screen.

The Audiovisual Council’s report noted that given the importance and topicality of the subjects proposed for debates, the main opposition viewpoints should be presented in a balanced way given that the raised problems are of public interest and are discussed in society.
