Turkey appointed Gürol Sökmensüer as the new Ambassador in Chisinau. The diplomat presented the copies of his credentials to the secretary of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tatiana Molcean on July 20, IPN reports.
Gürol Sökmensüer reiterated his country’s interest in extending the bilateral relations and the Turkish authorities’ support for the Moldovan Government’s efforts aimed at implementing programs to modernize and develop the Republic of Moldova.
Since October 2016 until now, the post of Turkey’s Ambassador to Moldova had been held by Hulusi Kılıç.
Their duties in Moldova have been also completed by the ambassadors of the United States, Germany, and Russia.
