Truncated form of Moldova's Constitution was submitted to Venice Commission

The Venice Commission was furnished with a truncated form of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova in English and French. This fact was noticed by MP Ana Gutu, the head of the Moldovan parliamentary delegation to the PACE, during the hearings held in Paris on May 19, Info-Prim Neo reports. On her blog, Ana Gutu said the rapporteur Josette Durrieu is to inform the President of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio about this case, which is scandalous and represents obvious manipulation, according to the MP. “The articles of the Moldovan Constitution were interpreted on the basis of the truncated form of the document. We are to establish who did this unprecedented act with serious consequences for the credibility of the European institutions and what its aim was,” Ana Gutu said.
