A truck driver lost control of the vehicle and this skidded off the route and stopped in a ditch. The man died on the spot. The road accident occurred last night, at around 1:42 a.m., on the Chisinau-Ungheni road, Mariana Betivu, press officer of the General Police Inspectorate, has told IPN.
Preliminarily, it was established that the 60-year-old man lived in the city of Tiraspol. The man was driving a DAF that was towing a grain trailer.
An investigation has been initiated into this case.
