Battery-powered trolleybuses running in Chisinau reach the suburban town Sangera as of May 7. The new route, No. 31, starts on 31 august St of Chisinau. The units of transport travel along the streets Pushkin, Stefan cel Mare, Constantin Negruzzi, Gagarin and Soseaua Muncești up to Sangera. They come back along the same route, IPN reports.
Five new trolleybuses assembled in Chisinau run on route No. 31. The batteries power them from Soseaua Muncesti St at the intersection with Burebista St up to the center of Sangera and back on a distance of about 22 km. A number of 24 routes will be performed daily on the new itinerary between 5:45am and 9:30pm, at an interval of 30 minutes.
Route No. 31 is the second route with battery-powered trolleybuses after route No. 30, which goes from the Great National Assembly Square up to the Chisinau International Airport.
