The launch of the trolleybus line to Trușeni commune of Chisinau municipality, planned for November 10, was put off for several days. Asked by IPN to explain why, director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Dorin Chernyi said the units of transport are still being tested. The trolleybuses covered about 800 km of the required 1,000 km.
Five battery-powered trolleybuses that were bought in Belarus and assembled in Chisinau will run on route No. 34 to Trușeni.
The connection between Chisinau and Trușeni is now ensured by minibuses running on route No. 135 and buses running on route No.17. The inhabitants of the commune complain the available units of transport are few in number and are thus packed.
