The first electric transport line that connects the capital city and a locality from outside the municipality of Chisinau was launched on February 8. This is trolleybus route No.36 that connects Ialoveni town and Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.
Three battery-powered trolleybuses will run on the route at an interval of 25-30 minutes from each other. The route starts from the center of Chisinau, from Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd, and ends in Ialoveni town. It is 25 km long and is covered in 90 minutes.
The fare for a trip through Chisinau will be 2 lei, plus 2 lei for a trip through Ialoveni. This way, a ticket for a trip from Chisinau to Ialoveni or back will be 4 lei.
The trolleybuses start to run on route at 5:35am on workdays and at 5:50am on the weekend. The last trolleybus sets off at 10:14pm on workdays and at 10:06pm on the weekend.
On February 8, it is also launched bus route No. 16 that will go from the Agrarian University up the Park “La Izvor”. The buses will travel on the itinerary of trolleybus route No. 33 that connects the districts of Râșcani and Buiucani of Chisinau. Three buses will run on the route at an interval of 30 minutes at rush hour between 6:30am and 9:00pm.
