Two mobile vaccination centers will be launched in Chisinau. More exactly, a trolleybus and a bus will be turned into immunization centers. The trolleybus will stop at selected places in all the districts of Chisinau according to a timetable, while the bus will go to the suburban settlements, IPN reports.

The project will be presented in the Great National Assembly Square on May 26, at 11am. According to Mayor General Ion Ceban, this is one more activity aimed at enabling those who want to get vaccinated.

At the end of this week, a vaccination marathon will be organized at the Palace of the Republic. The vaccination process will start at 9am on May 28 and 15 parallel flows will be organized there. “We have enough vaccine doses and different types of vaccine. The central authorities assured they will bring more lots of vaccine to the country,” he stated.

If the number of new COVID-19 cases continues to decline, some of the restrictions will be lifted.

Vaccination in Chisinau started two months ago, but the figures are modest even if there are a municipal vaccination center with the capacity of 200 immunizations a day and over 50 vaccination points in different places in Chisinau and its suburbs, including at family doctors’ centers, said Ion Ceban.

Tatiana Bucharski, head of the General Social Assistance and Health Division, noted that about 106,000 cases of COVID-19 and over 1,800 associated deaths have been reported in Chisinau so far. As many as 70,102 persons wee given the first vaccine dose, while 7,350 got the second dose as well.

Those who want can make an appointment for vaccination online on vaccinare.gov.md or through the agency of the family doctor.
