TRM collects donations for children

The national public broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova (TRM), in partnership with the Government, is collecting funds for seven family-type children’s homes and seven professional parent assistance services within the telemarathon “I want to have a family. Family for children, we for the family!” that is held on the occasion of the International Children’s Day marked on June 1, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, Teleradio-Moldova says that thousands of children in Moldova are separated from their biological families on a temporary or a permanent basis. The old-type childcare residential system deprives the children of the possibility of developing in a family environment. Therefore, emphasis during the last few years has been put on alternative programs and services to institutionalization. Unfortunately, they are yet poorly developed and do not offer the decent conditions deserved by every child. The donations can be made by transfer to the current account 22244014982816, opened at Banca de Economii, branch No. 1 in Chisinau, code BIC BECOMD2X609, 33 Pushkin St, MD-2012, Chisinau. Cash can be donated during the June 1 telemarathon at Radio Moldova and TV Moldova 1, between 7.00 and 20.45. Contributions can be also made by sending an SMS to the number 7474 (in all the mobile phone networks) or by dialing 090077774 (in the fixed-line phone network). An SMS/call costs 8 lei. Money can be transferred from May 25 until June 1.
