Triplets – two boys and a girl – were born on Monday, October 6, to an Ungheni couple. The already mother of 2 girls, aged 6 and 11, Ina Acsan, has told Info-Prim Neo that the babies are well.
The happy mother says nobody expected triplets because ultrasound exams indicated twins only. At 2.1 kilograms, the girl is the smallest. Her brothers weigh 2.2kg and 2.7kg, respectively. The father will get to see the triplets only tonight, because he works in Moscow and now he is on his way home.
The mother, 32, was advised to remain in hospital for recovery, because she says she doesn't feel very well. Because her family is not at all rich, thoughts of how they are going to handle the upcoming financial strains are somewhat darkening her joy of giving birth again. She added that the authorities are reluctant to help.
Ina's father, Grigore Ursu, said that he and his son-in-law would seek help from the Ungheni Town Hall. “We will ask them to help us with a dwelling, because the family is now living in a rundown, small house”, he said.
According to doctors, the last time when an Ungheni couple had triplets was 20 years ago.
