Moldova’s football team lost the second match of the qualifiers for World Cup 2014. This time, on September 11, the Tricolors succumbed to a 2-0 defeat in Poland, Info-Prim Neo reports. Unlike the match against England, the Moldovan players showed more dedication on the field and were more organized in defense. However, it was the Poles who opened the score. Jakub Blaszczykowski scored from the spot after a penalty was awarded for a foul committed by Artur Patras. In the second half, Moldova tried to level the score and created several chances, but it was again the hosts who scored. 10 minutes before the final whistle, Jakub Wawrzyniak set the final score. After this defeat, Moldova remain at the bottom of Group H. Ukraine were close to a historic victory in England, but the Brits managed to avoid defeat with a goal in the dying moments of the game, which ended 1-1. Montenegro became group leaders after a 6-0 victory against San Marino. The next matches are scheduled for October 12, when Moldova take on Ukraine and England host San Marino.
