The head of the Chisinau Public Transport and Communications Division Igor Gamretski has been transferred from remand detention under house arrest. The decision was pronounced by the Chisinau Court based in Buiucani on May 24, IPN reports.

Igor Gamretski told the press that he will cooperate with the investigation bodies. “I hope light will be swiftly shed in this case,” he stated.

Igor Gamretski was arrested on April 25 in a case concerning the contest to choose contractors to build parking lots in Chisinau. In the same case, deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu is investigated under house arrest.

The case also involves businessman Alexander Pinchevsky and ex-municipal councilor Gennady Ivashchenko, who was responsible for the selection of the company that was to build parking lots, and three parking company chiefs.
