The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA), with support from the USAID Moldova Institutional and Structural Reforms Activity (MISRA), is expanding its electronic authorization system with a module that will enable it to issue digital permits and certificates.

According to ANTA, the new digital solution will facilitate the process of issuing documents and will save the time of road transport operators and economic agents. The system will generate the series, number and QR code for a number of authorizations and certificates from national registers. These include route coordination documents, special transport authorizations, authorizations for the Periodic Technical Inspection Station activity and road vehicle weighing authorizations. The same applies to extracts from the Register of Road Transport Operators (ROTR), the State Register of Self-Employed Transport Companies, and the Register of Related Activities.

Scanning the QR code applied to the authorizations and extracts issued electronically will allow the verification and quick obtaining of the information, directly reducing processing times by the Agency’s inspectors.

ANTA says that the next authorization module to be digitalized is the one for regular passenger transport services.
