Transport Agency's structure and regulations approved

The recently founded Transport Agency (TA), formed following the dissolution of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management, will have a staff of 50 and 23 organizations under subordination, among which: the State Enterprise Moldova Railway, Ungheni River Port, flag carrier Air Moldova, Chisinau International Airport, and other, Info-Prim Neo reports. The main task of the AT will be to develop, promote and coordinate the implementation of specific state policies in all the areas of transportation. At the same time, under the regulations approved by the Government, the AT will administer the government-owned stocks in such companies as Sky Alliance, Aeroport Catering, Aeroport Handling, Baza de Transport Auto no. 35, and the Balti Bus Company. The manager of the Agency, Vasile Botnari, will have a deputy manager, appointed and dismissed by the AT board at the suggestion of the general manager. The AT Board includes Vladimir Antosi, director of the National Road Transport Agency; Miron Gagauz, director of the State Enterprise Moldova Railway; Petru Codreanu, director of the Giurgiulesti Port Dockyard; Vladimir Florea president of the International Road Transport Agency; Boris Rojnevschi, president of the Transport and Road Unions' Federation; and the yet-to-be-appointed director of the Civil Aviation Agency.
