The inhabitants of the Transnistrian region who have Moldovan papers on November 1 will be able to travel to polling stations established on the right side of the Nistru for the presidential elections between 7am and 8pm. They must return to the region before 10pm or will be obliged to self-isolate for two weeks. Such a decision was taken by the Transnistrian authorities IPN reports.
The Transnistrian press reported that the persons who will not manage to return by 10pm will be obliged to fill out an epidemiological form and to self-isolate for 14 days. Similar measures will be taken if the person does not present a document confirming that he/she voted, like the stamp “Voted” in the loose leaf of the identity card, when entering the region.
Given the pandemic situation, the movement restrictions in the Transnistrian region were extended until December.
The Central Election Commission decided to establish 42 polling stations for the persons with the right to vote from the Transnistrian region, Bender municipality and some of the localities of Căușeni district.
