Transnistrian veterans to be exempted from paying for public utilities

The World War II veterans living in the Transnistrian region will be fully exempted from paying for public utilities. A decision to extend the social benefits for this category of people was signed by the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky, IPN reports, quoting the Transnistrian press.

The versants and invalids of World War II will also be exempted from paying the mandatory insurance contributions and local taxes.

The exemptions apply to about 1,200 persons. A number of 180,000 persons benefit from different forms of social welfare on the left side of the Nistru.
