Official negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement process in the 5+2 format are taking place in Brussels on October 3. Ambassador Andrii Deshchytsia, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for Conflicts, said the sides will discuss the internal migration checkpoints that the Moldovan authorities intend to set up on the Nistru, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, the meeting gathered representatives of the sides, mediators and observers in the negotiation process from Moldova, Transnistria, the OSCE, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, the United States and the European Union. Ambassador Andrii Deshchytsia chairs the talks.
On October3, Ambassador Andrii Deshchytsia, Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Ambassador Jennifer Brush, and Moldovan and Transnistrian Chief Negotiators Eugen Carpov and Nina Shtanski will hold a concluding press briefing in Brussels, at approximately 8:15 EEST (Chisinau time).
