Transnistrian residents will benefit from concessions when applying for national identification papers for unlimited period

The Government approved amendments to its decision of September 9, 2005 on the issuing of national identification papers to the residents of the Transnistrian region, allowing them to benefit from concessions for an unlimited period of time, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Information and Communication Technology Alexandru Oleinic said the concessions offered when applying for national identification papers, especially the covering of the related expenses from the state budget, generated a constant interest and thus the given term was extended eight times for six months. The executive explained that the measure forms part of the steps aimed at reunifying the country and bringing the residents of the two banks of the Nistru closer.
