The Transnistrians region will receive a consignment of Russian vaccines, the local leader Vadim Krasnoselsky announced in a meeting. According to him, the subject of vaccination was discussed with the deputy head of the Russian presidential administration Dmitri Kozak during a visit he paid to Moscow, IPN reports.
The 30,000 vaccines will be used to immunize first of all doctors, teachers and representatives of the security forces. Vaccination will be voluntary, stated the Transnistrian leader.
According to the latest reports, 2,200 persons with COVID-19 in the Transnistrians region are being treated in hospitals and 51 of them are in a serious state and were put on a ventilator.
