The 2019 draft budget of the Transnistrian region will have a deficit of 1.8 billion rubles. The revenues, except for the special funds, are to total over 1 billion rubles, while the costs will come to 2.8 billion rubles. The local press reported that the budget will remain socially oriented, as the previous years, IPN reports.
The unconstitutional authorities of Transnistria promise to raise the salaries of a number of budget-funded employees and some of the social benefits and to finance capital investments and support the business community.
The pays of healthcare employees are to be increased by introducing additional payments for special working conditions. The salaries of police employees and of the Tiraspol and Bender electric transport companies are also to be raised.
The Transnistrian administration intends to raise the compensations paid to unemployed parents who look after children with disabilities and will increase the associated costs by 3.5 million rubles. A sum of 50 million rubles was planned for purchasing equipment for health facilities in 2019.
The entrepreneurship development fund will grow by 24.2 million rubles. As to the road fund, this will rise by 32.7 million rubles compared with 2018 to 190 million rubles.
The 2019 draft budget was approved by the so-called executive of Transnistria and is to be examined by the supreme soviet.
