The kindergarten directors in Transnistria call on the parents to keep their children at home, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in Tiraspol reports.
Owing to the special gas distribution schedule, the temperature in the rooms in kindergartens and schools dropped to 11-12 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the kindergarten directors urge the parents to let their children stay at home.
The breakaway republic’s Education Minister Maria Pashchenko said that such a decision was approved by the state administration heads in the Transnistrian towns and districts. But the nursery schools will not be closed. Every institution will set up several special groups for the children whose parents cannot look after them at home.
As regards the extension of students’ winter holidays, such an ordinance was not signed. “If the situation does not improve and the temperature in rooms is lower than required, the document will be signed because the children’s health will be endangered,” Maria Pashchenko said.
If the gas supply is not resumed in the near future, the education establishments that have joint heating systems will shift to solid fuel
