The leader of Transnistria Yevgheny Shevchuk signed a law that contains a number of amendments aimed at reducing the negative impact on the region’s economy. The anti-crisis plan was worked out by the so-called executive of Transnistria last month, IPN reports.
According to the Transnistrian press, the new amendments provide for a reduction of up to 10% in the income tax for producers that use local raw material. The common social tax is decreased from 25% to 12% for companies that create new jobs. Plots of land intended for constructions will be provided free for long-term use.
Also, the profit margin on a series of products that were not put on the list of socially important goods, such as sugar, pork, beef, poultry and fish, will be limited.
The law will take effect the next day after it is published officially.
