Radio and TV journalists working in Transnistrian region, or focusing on covering Transnistrian issues, social-political crises, community mediation and security, will participate in a cycle of trainings, in the framework of the project “Cooperation Impact for Understanding”, dedicated to the production of radio and TV programs in extreme journalism conditions. In organizers’ opinion, the planned activities should contribute to the solving of the Transnistrian crisis, to a better understating of political problems related to Transnistrian subject by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova as well as by the international community, to strengthening the journalistic community on both sides of Nistru River. According to them, the development of trainings in this field is motivated by the poor professional preparation of journalists to face the challenges generated by social and political crises, by the separatist divergences and presences that coexist as journalistic material in the domestic informational area. By means of this programme, about 36 audiovisual journalists from both sides of Nistru River will participate in three workshops of practical training. The training sessions will be moderated by experts of well-known institutions from Ukraine, Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The trainings will build the capacity of radio and TV journalists involved in the programme to develop programmes based on civic education, political disputes and public debates with the character of informative-analytical programmes. The application period to this training program is August 1-20, 2006. The „IMPACT” Media Agency with the support of the OSCE Mission to Moldova organizes this training.
